Groundwater Contaminated, Punjab Battles Uranium Curse

In an article by the NY Daily News, the presence of uranium and other heavy metals such as arsenic and mercury have been confirmed in ground water in Punjab (region straddling the border between Pakistan and India).  Testing was resultant of a history of high incidence of his cancer and other diseases.  Uranium levels were up to 50% higher than WHO norms.
