Firmware Utility

This page contains information relating to ANDalyze’s Firmware Utility, which is used to update the firmware on the AND1000.

Prerequisites

• Java 1.6 – It is recommended that you have the most recent version of Java 1.6. See below for instructions on obtaining Java.
• The software will run on Windows and Mac, and has been tested on the following Operating Systems:
  • Microsoft Windows XP SP3
  • Microsoft Vista (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Mac OS-X 10.6 (64-bit)

Java on Microsoft Windows

To determine if you have Java installed already, look in the Windows Control Panel for a “Java” or “Java (64-bit)” entry.
Visit http://java.com to download and install Java for Windows.

Java on OS-X

Java came pre-installed on OS-X up until OS-X 10.7 Lion. For Lion, visit http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1421.
To determine if you have Java installed already, look in the Applications / Utilities folder for “Java Preferences.app”

Troubleshooting

Question: When I click on the link to run the program, my browser only allows me to save the file. I save it and nothing happens.
Answer: If your browser does not give you an option to open the file with “Java Web Start”, please verify that you have Java installed on your computer first. If you just finished installing Java, please restart your browser and try the link again.
